A few Spanish destinations

A few Spanish destinations

Instead of reposting all my photos and stories here to my shiny new domain, I thought I'd make just a few posts organized by time period and topic with links to the original content on my previous travel blog, hosted on Tumblr.

Here's a list of posts about three of my favorite short trips that I took during the year I lived in Madrid.

Valencia is a lovely and ancient city on the Mediterranean coast. Read and view photos in Part 1 and Part 2.

Mallorca is one of the Islas Baleares, or Balearic Islands. The most famous of these Spanish Mediterranean islands is Ibiza, renowned for its parties and beaches. In December of 2014, my sister and I visited the largest and most rugged of the islands, Mallorca (typically spelled Majorca in English). It. Was. Gorgeous.

Toledo is an old medieval town not too far from Madrid. You can walk along the walltop, cross ancient Roman bridges, and visit the shops of the town's famous swordsmiths. A great day trip from Madrid!
